We are proud to announce we have been approved by Microsoft® as one of a select group of partners to deliver the Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program in Australia and New Zealand. We are the first and only company in APAC to receive this accreditation.
The Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program is an exclusive program designed for accredited partners with deep SAM expertise. The Program provides a continual, governance-based outsourced service, through Accredited Providers, to help customers more effectively manage their software assets.
To ensure the highest quality of service, we successfully completed an assessment by EY, an independent, third-party evaluator.
“The MSP SAM accreditation process was such a positive experience, and a huge commitment for our team – both in terms of time and resources,” reflected Filipa Preston, SOS CEO and founder. “EY led us through a rigorous assessment process, providing many valuable recommendations, some of which we have already implemented. Having EY validate the maturity of our people, processes and tools is absolute gold,” Filipa said.
Now that the assessment and accreditation process is complete, our team is eager to share the valuable program benefits with our clients, including the following:
Ø A ‘Fresh Start’ with Microsoft licensing
Ø Reduced risk of audit (license compliance verification)
Ø The Cyber Security Assessment Tool (CSAT) from QS Solutions
Ø Special offers and training opportunities
Microsoft initially launched its Managed Service Program two years ago in pilot in the U.S. and the U.K. This year the program was rolled out globally, and today SOS is the only independent consultancy who is both Gartner-named as a representative vendor and an accredited Microsoft SAM Managed Service Provider in APAC.
“We are committed to helping all organisations maximise value, minimise risks and achieve more with their IT investments through programs like the Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program. By making the necessary investments in developing their ability to provide high-quality, predictable SAM services, SOS is able to be counted among a select group of organisations that have demonstrated the highest, most-consistent capability and commitment within the SAM community,” said Patama Chantaruck, General Manager - Worldwide Software Asset Management and Compliance at Microsoft.
“I’d like to congratulate our partner Software Optimisation Services (SOS) for achieving this milestone as an accredited SAM Managed Service provider. Software asset management is now a C-level imperative, with more businesses looking to ensure they are making the most of their licensed software while remaining compliant throughout the lifecycle of their software assets. Through independently assessed Microsoft partners like SOS, businesses are able to ensure they get the most out of their IT while minimising risk,” said Mark Leigh, Director, One Commercial Partner, Microsoft Australia.
This recent certification is just the latest in a series of 'firsts' for SOS. Not only are we the first practice to gain this accreditation in APAC, we were also the first APAC partner to win the 2016 Worldwide Microsoft ‘SAM Partner of the Year Award’ and were the first provider outside of Europe to pass KPMG's SAM Expert Assessment.
